Vintage propeller blade on a custom made steel stand with LED lights to create a one of a kind floor lamp. The blades steel capped end sets snug in the steel base, allowing it to stand upright, giving it a striking almost sculptural appearance. The natural wear and aged patina give the blade a steel industrial look, even though the blade is not metal.

The steel base has LED lighting that plugs straight into your wall outlet. The lamp has a wall wash effect that lights the wall behind it, while drawing attention to the shape and form of the propeller blade.

Titled the Gladiator, this is one of the earliest pieces ever produced by the California sculptor Richard MacDonald. Signed and numbered #3 of only 9 pieces, this superb bronze depicts the muscular figure of a boxer at rest after his battle in the ring.

As with any of the pieces produced by Mr. MacDonald, the attention to detail and his ability to capture the real life muscular features of the human body, is absolutely remarkable. Even more impressive is the way this massive pugilist figure floats above the marble base, supported only by his towel, which is held by one hand.

The sculpture comes with the original certificate of authenticity directly from the artist, complete with seal and Richard MacDonald’s signature in ink.

Large ONE letter sign in beautiful two tone cream and cobalt blue porcelain. This is a very early sign from the 1920′s to 1930′s, made from thick rolled steel. The stamped rounded fronts were each hand welded to the deep sides, making for a great profile. The cobalt blue porcelain fronts appeared hand applied, as you can see the uneven lines.

The signs are deep enough to stand up on their own, so you can display them on a shelf or table. Very early sign and very cool letters. Now you can let everyone know, you are number ONE!
