Andy Warhol was an American artist, filmmaker, and cultural icon who played a central role in the Pop Art movement. Known for transforming images from popular culture into fine art, he created famous works featuring Campbell’s soup cans, Coca-Cola bottles, and portraits of celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley. Warhol challenged traditional ideas of art by embracing mass production, commercial imagery, and repetition, often using silkscreen printing techniques. Based in New York City, he also founded The Factory, a studio that became a hub for artists, musicians, and avant-garde figures, leaving a lasting impact on art, fashion, and popular culture.
