This large modern outdoor sculpture is titled Cherubim 1 by artist Garth Hite. The organic shape and flat surface of this biomorphic sculpture are emphasized by three colors. The complementary colors emphasis the form, as it carries the viewers interests along the abstract sculptures shape. The curves, angles, and openings are an integral element that challenge the viewers imagination. The bright yellow and aqua colors highlight the curved lines and circular cutouts. When lit, the free flowing rounded design and openings cast noticeable shadows and patterns around the base and its surroundings.
The large modern outdoor sculpture was plasma cut from quarter inch thick steel plate. The painted surface is made up of several coats of high performance urethane paint and finished with several more coats of clear urethane with UV protection. This allows the sculpture to be shown indoors or outdoors. There are two tabs at the bottom that allow the work to be anchored or mounted to a pedestal or base.
This impressive contemporary piece was designed as an outdoor sculpture. Perfect for a garden or a well manicured lawn. It is also suitable as an indoor sculpture, setting directly on the floor or mounted on a platform base.
