The artist David Jacobs, once again amazes us with his creative talents by creating this striking Porsche tribute piece. The focal point is the large 13.5″ glass disk lens with the famous Porsche crest. Behind this are 4 incandescent dimmable light bulbs affixed to a polished diamond plate back. That plate covers a thick wood base that anchors the piston rods to the assembly.These piston rods and pistons are the real deal. They were once part of a working Porsche 911 motor and are now repurposed into this unique art assemblage. That is really cool!
The final back plate is an aluminum panel with a close-up photograph of a Porsche wheel. You can even see the Porsche branded red brake caliper and center cap. The back plate is flat allowing it to be mounted to any type of wall or panel.
The Porsche lighted wall sculpture is a combination of new and used pieces that the artist has assembled. This is a one and only piece sculpture that includes the artist signature behind the large glass lens. It is wired for US current and uses a standard 2 prong plug. The black twisted cloth covered wire includes a dimmer, allowing you to adjust the lighting just the way you want.
