Titled “BIRD TIME”, this vintage gun cleaning kit has been repurposed into a hunting theme clock. Using authentic vintage pieces, this distinct clock is an assemblage art piece by the duo at Van Dusen Designworks. Starting with the J. C. Higgins gun cleaning kit case, the artist has added some sweet vintage finds to make this handsome desktop clock. It’s topped with a cast metal figure of an Irish Setter and the inside is filled with vintage duck calls made of wood. Front and center is the large clock which uses a battery operated quarts clock. There is even a vintage Bird Game License from 1959 mounted on the base.
The Bird Time hunting clock is quite a unique piece. The artist nameplate is mounted on the reverse along with the vintage pocket watch fob with the name, ID number and date the piece was created.
This would be nice displayed on a desk, bookshelf or a fireplace mantel. It would be the perfect gift for the sportsman who likes to hunt duck, quail and pheasant.
